Eileen Donoghue Announces Major Westford Endorsements

Westford, MA – Eileen Donoghue, a candidate for State Senate in the 1st Middlesex District, was endorsed today by a number of prominent Westford leaders, including Bob Jeffries, chairman of the Westford Board of Selectman, Selectwoman Andrea Peraner-Sweet, School Committee Member Angela Harkness, Democratic State Committee Member Toody Healey, and Democratic Town Committee Members Sheila Tucke and Marilyn Frank.  "Eileen Donoghue for State Senate is our only choice for Westford,” said Sheila Tucke.  “Eileen has the experience of having been the Mayor of Lowell, along with the personal qualities of compassion, and determination.  She will pay attention to the needs of Westford and fight for us in state government." “Working for a diverse population in Lowell gave Eileen the ability to work with different constituencies – that’s how I know she will be able to fight for our towns,” said Marilyn Frank.  “She has always struck me as a woman of integrity and competent leadership.”  “I am proud of the diverse group of supporters that have rallied around my campaign,” said Donoghue.  “We have a run a positive, issues-based campaign focused on rebuilding our economy, and these supporters recognize that I can best represent Westford and the rest of the 1st Middlesex District in the State Senate.”
